During a recent Monday morning radio segment on KVCE am 1160, I was giving regular host Willie Lambright some helpful advice on buying a relocation home that I would like to share with you!
Usually you have relocation home when a company relocates a worker to another area and that company works out a deal with the employee where they offer them a relocation package.
One of the best types of relocation packages out there is when the company buys the home from the employee so that person can go ahead and move to the new city without having to worry about selling the old home.
A lot of home buyers tend to associate relocation homes with foreclosed homes. In other words, they think they can make lowball offers like they would on foreclosed homes.
But as I told Willie, the best I usually see on home sales in the Colleyville area is usually 3 percent off of the list price. You’re not likely going to get 13 percent or more off the original list price here in Texas.
